GEYC joins a new KA2 Capacity building in the field of Youth project: “Promoting equality through gender sensitive journalism and blogging”!

This project’s overall objective is to raise the standards of journalism and blogging, making them more gender sensitive and also to strengthen the human capacity of the NGO’s and their partnership with media in the partner countries. This is part of the process of enhancing democracy, good governance and human rights, while promoting professionalism and editorial independence.

This week, our colleague Gabriel Brezoiu - General Manager of GEYC takes part to the "Connecting the dots: Young People, Social Inclusion and Digitalisation" Symposium in Tallinn, Estonia focusing on exploring the crossing between social inclusion of young people and digitalisation, reflecting especially on how digitalisation affects young people’s lives, and what the role of youth policy, youth work and youth research can be in this respect.

On the 15th of April GEYC has organized the Conference on Communication Strategies for Youth NGOs promoting Peace and Human Rights. The event was part of the KA2 Strategic Partnership, TURN Online, which is aiming to bring digitalization closer to youth organizations promoting peace and human rights.

Youth Exchange: [BG-160] InforMigration, Bansko, Bulgaria

Six enthusiastic GEYCuleți spent about a week in the one of the largest winter resorts of Bulgaria, attending a training course about topics related to migration, refugees, hate speech and human rights. They got the chance to learn the processes, reasons and effects of migration, about climate change and its social, economic, political and environmental consequences and at the end were left with one of the most exciting stories to tell.

YE - “YOUth 4 Tolerance”, Castellammare di Stabia, Italy

The project “YOUth 4 Tolerance” was a youth exchange that included 44 young people aged 16 to 26 years from Bulgaria, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Romania and Spain. The main objectives of the project were to understand the migration processes, to promote a positive attitude, tolerance, solidarity and understanding towards refugees and migrants, to discover hate speech, its causes, roots and consequences and having the ability to distinguish it from freedom of expression, to inform youth about ways and channels for reporting cases of hate speech online, to promote the No hate speech movement among young people.

GEYC (Romania) & AVER (Tunisia) take part together in Anna Lindh Foundation's Euromed Exchange Programme

EN: GEYC (Romania) & AVER (Tunisia) decided to join the Euromed Exchange Programme organized by the Anna Lindh Foundation and thus to exchange experiences in the youth and cultural fields as well as to reinforce the cooperation regarding future projects.

FR: GEYC (Roumanie) et AVER (Tunisie) ont décidé de se joindre au programme d'échange Euromed organisé par la Fondation Anna Lindh et ainsi d'échanger des expériences dans les domaines de la jeunesse et de la culture, ainsi que de renforcer la coopération en ce qui concerne les projets futurs.

RO: GEYC (România) și AVER (Tunisia) au decis să se alăture programului de schimb Euromed organizat de Fundația Anna Lindh și astfel să facă schimb de experiență în domeniul tineretului și al culturii, precum și să consolideze cooperarea în ceea ce privește viitoarele proiecte.

#învizită: "The Silicon Valley of Transylvania", Cluj-Napoca, 20-22 martie 2017

GEYC Community organised a visit in Cluj-Napoca called "The Silicon Valley of Transylvania". This is the first domestic visit outside Bucharest as part of #invizita programme, 25 people took part together with two group leaders: Gaby & Brigitte. This visit was part of "eSkills for Volunteering" project and allowed the participants to have direct interaction with the representatives of Tetarom technological and industrial park and Impact Hub Cluj-Napoca and thus to get a better understanding on the eskills needed for having a digital start-up. Moreover, the participants surveyed the inhabitants of Cluj-Napoca in order to discover their level of understanding on digital entrepreneurship.


Comunitatea GEYC a organizat o vizită de studiu în Cluj-Napoca numită "The Silicon Valley of Transylvania". Aceasta este prima deplasare internă în afara Bucureștiului din cadrul programului #invizita, 25 tineri luând parte la mobilitate însoțiți de doi lideri de grup: Gaby & Brigitte. Vizita a fost organizată în cadrul proiectului "eSkills for Volunteering" și a permis participanților să interacționeze direct cu reprezentanții parcului industrial Tetarom, ai Impact Hub Cluj-Napoca și având astfel ocazia de a înțelege mai bine ce competențe digitale sunt necesare pentru a avea o afacere digitală. Totodată, aceștia au efectuat un sondaj printre locuitorii din Cluj-Napoca pentru a descoperi gradul de înțelegere al acestora asupra antreprenoriatului digital.

Future of Media 2016 - Cel mai important eveniment dedicat noutăților din media, advertising, online publishing și mobile

Pe data de 24 Noiembrie 2016 a avut loc evenimentul Future of Media, ajuns la Ediția a IV-a și s-a desfășurat la Hotel Ramada Parc, București. Ultimii ani au adus schimbări majore in media, iar canalele tradiționale de comunicare nu mai sunt la fel de eficiente comparativ cu noile tehnologii. În cadrul evenimentului au fost prezentate schimbările actuale din media, noile tendințe si inovații care își vor pune amprenta asupra platformelor de comunicare și vor redefini viitorul media.
