Preventing a Lockdown Generation in Europe and Central Asia: Building resilient societies with young people in the era of COVID-19

The regional report “Preventing a Lockdown Generation in Europe and Central Asia: Building Resilient societies with young people in the era of COVID-19” is the result of joint collaboration between the UNICEF Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia (UNICEF ECARO), the European Training Foundation (ETF) and GEYC, who was in charge of the qualitative data collection and analysis.
This report builds on wide consultations with more than 15,000 adolescents and young people from Europe and Central Asia covering, among others, their feelings about lockdown restrictions, access and participation in education, learning outcomes and the quality of teaching, as well as their views on mobility, entrepreneurship and participation. When it comes to the future, the report captures young people’s hopes and fears about deep changing societies and economies.

TC - "PRIDE - Promoting Diversity and Inclusive Youth Work Practices", Armenia

When you think about Armenia, it seems like nothing crosses your mind - or at least, that's how I was before PRIDE - Promoting Diversity and Inclusive Youth Work Practices, 25th of February - 4th of March. Now, when I think about Armenia, I think about Aghveran, about that resort we stayed in, where we spent a few days with people from 10 different countries, from whom I learned so many, in so little time.

YE-"United Plates of Europe", UK

Once upon a time, there were two princesses and three princes who rode unicorns to a faraway land called happiness. Just kidding, this isn’t a bed time story, although, judging from the extraordinary experiences lived by our protagonists, it could have easily been one.

YE- "Not in our name", 13.12.2017-21.12.2017, Marrakech, Morocco

2 months ago, we wouldn't have thought that in the middle of December we'd be splashing our feet in the Atlantic Ocean, together with our freshly made international friends. If everybody could just enjoy the view of the ocean for a minute, there would be a lot more peace around the globe. This we learned during "Not in our name" project, which took place in Morocco, Marrakech.

CY-130 "Our Europe - Our Future", Limassol, Cipru

After the adventures in Spain for the Job Shadowing project, my EFYL experience continued with a Practice project, this time in Cyprus. However, as exciting as December in Limassol sounds, there was little time to actually enjoy the great weather of Cyprus in winter. But we had, indeed, time for that, especially on our first and second days of the project.
