Preventing a Lockdown Generation in Europe and Central Asia: Building resilient societies with young people in the era of COVID-19

The regional report “Preventing a Lockdown Generation in Europe and Central Asia: Building Resilient societies with young people in the era of COVID-19” is the result of joint collaboration between the UNICEF Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia (UNICEF ECARO), the European Training Foundation (ETF) and GEYC, who was in charge of the qualitative data collection and analysis.

This report builds on wide consultations with more than 15,000 adolescents and young people from Europe and Central Asia covering, among others, their feelings about lockdown restrictions, access and participation in education, learning outcomes and the quality of teaching, as well as their views on mobility, entrepreneurship and participation. When it comes to the future, the report captures young people’s hopes and fears about deep changing societies and economies.

Am început înscrierile la #GenerationEU: Promotori pentru democrație, ediția a VI-a / TL: 12 martie 2020

#GenerationEU: Promotori ai democrației europene, ajuns la ediția numărul 6, continuă tradiția de a aduce împreună 20 de tineri, care doresc să se implice în promovarea valorilor europene în comunitățile locale. Promovarea în comunitățile locale a beneficiilor apartenenței la UE reprezintă tema ediției din 2020, în jurul căreia participanții sunt invitați să propună un concept și să desfășoare acțiuni de comunicare. Termenul limită de înscriere: 5 martie 2020 12 martie 2020.

How many young people are needed to generate business ideas that can solve current environmental problems of our society? The Youth Ecopreneurship Sprint youth exchange, hosted by our partners Ekonomska klinika, is proof that it takes less than one week and a group of driven young people gathered in an international environment to work towards a sustainable future. Miruna, Iulian, Bianca, George, and Ioana are the members of the Romanian team that has taken part in this project between 23 June 2018 and 30 June 2019 in Zagreb, Croatia. What did they learn?

In February of 2018, Andreea and Alexandru embarked on an adventure to learn more about the role of a youth worker, non-formal education and to gain key competencies related to conflict management and problem solving. The second stage of the Capacity building project "International Youth Studies: Curricula, Distance learning course and open educational materials" (InYouS) has taken place in Tbilisi, Georgia, between 22nd-29th of July 2018.
