We the Internet National Report

În data de 18 noiembrie 2020 a fost lansat Raportul Național al proiectului We the Internet, care surprinde principalele concluzii ale zilelor de deliberare pe tema viitorului Internetului.

Alexandra Peca, Manager de proiect #EDYS20 (We, the Internet) și Gabriel Brezoiu (Manager General GEYC) au fost prezenți la emisiunea „Tânăr în Europa” difuzată de RFI România, unde au discutat despre lansarea raportului național We the Internet, despre cum văd cetățenii români viitorul Internetului și ce provocări aduce avansul tehnologic. 



Atelierele de lucru au strâns, în cele două zile de activități (9 și 10 octombrie 2020) 201 persoane din medii foarte diverse, având nivel de educație, vârste și ocupații diferite. 52.7% au fost persoane din categoria de vârstă 15-24 ani, cei din grupa 25-49 de ani au reprezentat 37.8, iar 9.5% dintre participanți au fost persoane peste 50 de ani. 

Majoritatea participanților au provenit din domeniul educației, sănătății, cercetării, ingineriei, domeniului juridic sau social (44.3%), 12.4% au fost lucrători în servicii sau vânzări, 42.8% persoane fără ocupație (dintre care o mare parte au fost elevi).

Echipa GEYC a fost prezentă și la emisiunea GPS Cultural difuzată de Radio România Cultural.




We the Internet este o inițiativă coordonată de o coaliție de parteneri precum Comisia Europeană, Consiliul Europei, UNESCO, Missions Publiques, Forumul Economic Mondial, guvernele elvețiene și germane și actori din sectorul privat precum Google și Facebook. Această deliberare globală a avut ca rezultat formularea unor recomandări cetățenești care au fost transmise factorilor cheie de decizie la nivel local, regional și internațional. Rezultatele proiectului au fost dezbătute în cadrul Internet Governance Forum 2020 (ONU), cel mai mare forum pe tema guvernanței internetului organizat de ONU.

On November 18th, 2020, the National Report of the We the Internet project was launched, capturing the main conclusions of the deliberation on the future of the Internet.

Alexandra Peca, Project Manager of #EDYS20 (We, the Internet) and Gabriel Brezoiu (General Manager of GEYC) were present at the show "Young in Europe" broadcast by RFI Romania, where they discussed the launch of the national report We the Internet, the way the citizens of Romania the future of the Internet and what challenges the technological advance brings.

During the two days of activities (October 9 and 10, 2020), the workshops gathered 201 people from very different backgrounds, with different levels of education, ages and occupations. 52.7% were people in the age category 15-24 years, those in the 25-49 years group represented 37.8, and 9.5% of the participants were people over 50 years.

Most of the participants came from the field of education, health, research, engineering, legal or social field (44.3%), 12.4% were service or sales workers, 42.8% were unemployed (most of whom were students).

The GEYC team was also present on the "GPS Cultural" show broadcast by Radio Romania Cultural.

We the Internet is an initiative coordinated by a coalition of partners such as the European Commission, the Council of Europe, UNESCO, Public Missions, the World Economic Forum, the Swiss and German governments and private sector actors such as Google and Facebook. This global deliberation resulted in the formulation of citizens' recommendations which were transmitted to key decision-makers at local, regional and international level. The results of the project were discussed at the Internet Governance Forum 2020 (UN), the largest forum on internet governance organized by the UN.
