The SCRUM for YOUth Training Course came to an end! 

The SCRUM for YOUth is based on experimenting with scrum project management methodology for EU youth workers in an 8-day Training Course, that took place in France. The mobility gathered youth workers who were motivated to acquire non-formal educationl methods & tools for agile project management and scrum methodology for youth work.

By doing so, the objectives of the project focused on:

  • Raising awareness and achieving attitude change around agile and scrum as frameworks used for managing software and innovation projects. 
  • Increasing the adoption of scrum principles and showcase them as a staple in managing Erasmus+ projects. 
  • Empowering participating youth to partake in community building through different actions and campaigns. 
  • Promoting cooperation between European NGOs in the field of project management. 

Curious to know what we did? 

The first part of the project focused on understanding and refreshing the key concepts and diving into the agile methodology and project management. Moreover, to get to know more about Erasmus +, the participants discovered different types of Key Actions and got more details for the: KA152, KA153,KA154, KA155 and KA210.

The second part of the mobility was focused on the SCRUM methodologies, learning more about the types of project management and, the most important part, applying what the participants learned. The participants divided into groups and started defining different Erasmus+ projects:Each team presented the ideas for their project. After each presentation, a discussion followed, involving both the participants and the facilitators. The discussions focused on improvements, advantages, and disadvantages of the projects. Each team presented the ideas for their project in the last day. After each presentation, a discussion followed, involving both the participants and the facilitators, to tackle the improvements, advantages and disadvantages of the projects they thought of.
