The Women Get Back (WGB) is a Capacity Building project within the framework of the European Commission’s Erasmus+ Programme with 5 project partners from Europe (Bulgaria, Italy, Portugal, Romania and Spain) and 5 project partners from Latin America (Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Peru and Nicaragua).

Women Get Back - Youth Exchange Lima, Peru
The Women Get Back Youth Exchange program took place in Chosica, Lima, Peru and reunited more than 50 participants from Paraguay, Peru, Italy, Bulgaria, Brasil, Portugal, Argentina, Spain and Romania.
Participants had the chance to spend seven days in a multicultural context talking about gender equality issues and entrepreneurship perspectives in Latin-American and European communities.

GEYC joins a new KA2 Capacity building in the field of Youth project: “Promoting equality through gender sensitive journalism and blogging”!
This project’s overall objective is to raise the standards of journalism and blogging, making them more gender sensitive and also to strengthen the human capacity of the NGO’s and their partnership with media in the partner countries. This is part of the process of enhancing democracy, good governance and human rights, while promoting professionalism and editorial independence.

TC - "Women Get Back", Malaga, Spain
Women Get Back – experiencing women entrepreneurship activities under the warm sun of Torremolinos-Malaga, Spain. Iuliana and Andreea, two active youth workers and proud geyculeți took the trip from Bucharest to the sunny Torremolinos-Malaga, Spain, for Women Get Back, a training course about women empowerment in entrepreneurship, organized by Projuven Association, beween 10th and 17th of May.

EVS - "Youth4Sport2" Nicosia, Cipru
The European Voluntary Service, project Youth4Sport2, at Nautilos SAR in Nicosia, Cyprus represented a non-formal experience that allowed me to broaden my knowledge and share ideas about healthy lifestyle, sports and youth education. My mobility stage lasted 6 months, from May until October 2017. During this time I had the chance to be part of an adventurous journey in the easternmost part of Europe.
Empowering civil society organizations to work with refugees
Over the past few years around 66 million people were forced to leave their home due to conflicts, wars, natural disasters and persecution - approximately one of every 113 people on the planet. Only in the first half of 2017, over 105.000 refugees and migrants arrived to Europe. After crossing international borders their future was unknown. Thus, there was a clear need of support and assistance to refugees and asylum- seekers so they adopt in the hosting countries and build their future.

Gender Justice and Equality Project [STUDY VISIT], London - UK
The first part of this project took place in Yerevan (Armenia) and it was a training course, while the second part was a study visit which took place in London (UK) . 36 participants from different European and Caucasian countries took part in the project. The main aim of the 2 stage project was to increase the awareness of youth workers and youth leaders about gender equality issues and perspectives in Europe and to provide the participants with skills to develop good quality projects locally and under the “Erasmus+” program focusing on the topic of Gender Equality.

GEYC (Romania) & AVER (Tunisia) take part together in Anna Lindh Foundation's Euromed Exchange Programme
EN: GEYC (Romania) & AVER (Tunisia) decided to join the Euromed Exchange Programme organized by the Anna Lindh Foundation and thus to exchange experiences in the youth and cultural fields as well as to reinforce the cooperation regarding future projects.
FR: GEYC (Roumanie) et AVER (Tunisie) ont décidé de se joindre au programme d'échange Euromed organisé par la Fondation Anna Lindh et ainsi d'échanger des expériences dans les domaines de la jeunesse et de la culture, ainsi que de renforcer la coopération en ce qui concerne les projets futurs.

TC - FEMPOWER in Armenia, Yerevan
The training course took place in Yerevan and it was aimed to enable youth workers and young leaders to feel and reflect about the power of gender. During the training we learned about gender equality issues by sharing and comparing the realities in the European Union and neighboring partner countries, and exchanging experiences, best practices and knowledge between us and our organizations on gender mainstreaming and women empowerment!

A seed to grow
Between the 7th and the 15th of February, three participants together with our colleague, Gabriel Brezoiu as a trainer represented GEYC for the Erasmus+ project "A seed to grow" in Marrakech, Morocco. [See English version below]
Între 7 și 15 februarie 2017, 3 participanți români alături de colegul nostru, Gabriel Brezoiu în calitate de trainer au reprezentat GEYC în cadrul cursului de formare pentru lucrători de tineret "A seed to grow", proiect finanțat prin programul Erasmus+ în orașul Marrakech, Maroc.

Call for 4 Romanian participants: European training course in Turkey / August 2014
GEYC is selecting 4 Romanian participants to
take part in the "Facts and Dreams" European project that will take
place in Isparta, Turkey, from 5th until 10th of August 2014. This is a
training course aimed to train youth workers to become trainers and provide
them with the theory, skills and tools necessary to design implement and
evaluate effective training programmes themselves in order to generate optimum
learning outcomes and improved performance.

”For Diversity. Against Discrimination” - an EU campaign
GEYC supports ”For Diversity. Against discrimination” - an European Commission campaign. The campaign aims to raise awareness of discrimination and increase understanding of the EU laws which exist to protect us all. It also strives to generate debate on the themes of diversity and discrimination and in particular on how people in Europe stand to gain from greater equality.
