WFD2019: “Is Democracy in danger in the information age?”

This year edition of the World Forum for Democracy (WFD)
will be hosted in Strasbourg, France on 6-8 November 2019
Our colleague, Adelina DRAGOMIR will join as a speaker during LAB 1 Human 2.0 : Youth and Digital Empowerment of the World Forum for Democracy, hosted by the Council of Europe in Strasbourg between 6th and 8th November 2019.

We just returned from Kosovo where European Youth Award hosted a regional workshop at Prishtina Hackerspace, "Youth for innovation" dedicated to the local young people willing to develop their own digital initiatives.

Noi la GEYC credem în importanța parteneriatului dintre organizațiile societății civile, mediul privat, autorități publice și instituții de învățământ în formarea competențelor de care tinerii au nevoie pentru societatea de azi și de mâine. Astăzi, 15 iulie, celebrăm Ziua internațională a competențelor tinerilor (World Youth Skills Day) prin publicarea listei centrelor "Young Digital Leaders".

RO: Pe 6 Februarie 2019, echipa noastra a fost in Bruxelles pentru intalnirea de inceput a celei de-a doua editii a Young Digital Leaders, o initiativa a carei faza pilot din Romania a avut loc la Oradea, in 2018.

GEYC joins a new KA2 Capacity building in the field of Youth project: “Promoting equality through gender sensitive journalism and blogging”!

This project’s overall objective is to raise the standards of journalism and blogging, making them more gender sensitive and also to strengthen the human capacity of the NGO’s and their partnership with media in the partner countries. This is part of the process of enhancing democracy, good governance and human rights, while promoting professionalism and editorial independence.

European Digital Youth Summit 2018: The story after the story

#EDYS18, held under the High Patronage of the European Parliament, gathered in the Transilvania University of Brașov around 200 local, national and international participants from more than 10 countries. EDYS - European Digital Youth Summit 2018 had a diverse Opening Panel - welcoming government, academia and civil society representatives from Brașov and abroad - which made it eclectic and interesting both for the physical and online audience. The online presence of the event reached 35k social media users and our live transmission reached almost 20k users.
