Simion in the new GEYC Board of Directors

Simion STRUGAR

Simion is what we can call a very cool teacher. His journey in GEYC Community started back in 2014 when he, as a IT&C teacher got involved in SMARTER Campaign and brought the SMARTER Title to his highschool. Since then, he cooperated closely with GEYC Team, he took part in European mobility activities, he discovered nonformal education methods and he made his classes more attractive. Simion is coming from Năsăud, a small town in Transylvania. School education became a very important part of our work and we are happy to welcome both teachers, young people and youth workers in the GEYC Community.

SMARTER project (home page)

About the project

The project aims to empower the participants to implement employability projects at local level by using social media tools.

Objectives:

O1. Enabling participants to use social media tools for the communication, promotion and management of their projects aiming to raise employment of young people;

O2. Stimulating participants to share their personal and professional practices in using social media in youth work through teamwork and networking;

O3. Raising the employability of the participants through improving social media skills and through personal branding;

O4. Promoting the European cooperation in the youth field by the use of social media.

Organizers

The project is organized by GEYC - Group of the European Youth for Change (Romania) as applicant together with GEYC Resources Center and 13 European partner organisations from France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Cyprus, Malta, Greece, Croatia, Lithuania, Iceland and Turkey.

The project is financed by the European Commission through "Youth in action" programme.

GEYC - a member of the Grand Coalition for Digital Jobs of the European Commission

We are proudly announcing that GEYC was selected as a member of the Grand Coalition for Digital Jobs. Initiated by the European Commission, the Grand Coalition is a multi-stakeholder partnership to tackle the lack of digital skills in Europe and the several hundred of thousands of unfilled ICT-related vacancies.

Asociația GEYC organizează workshop-uri gratuite în domeniul comunicării (21 iulie) și al organizării de evenimente (25 iulie), în intervalul 10-17, la București. Programele de formare sunt destinate tinerilor și studenților din București (vor avea prioritate cei cu vârste de 18-25 ani). 

European Mobility Cafe sau cum să aducem mobilitățile europene mai aproape de tineri

Formatul evenimentelor European Mobility Cafe ne permite să creăm un spațiu prietenos unde tinerii pot să se informeze, pot împărtăși idei și experiențe de mobilitate europeană și pot intra în contact cu alți membri ai Comunității GEYC.

Ziua Europei - 9 mai e și ziua noastră. Sărbătorește și tu în cadrul evenimentelor educaționale, culturale sau de petrecere a timpului liber dedicate ție. 

Te poți alătura evenimentelor GEYC din București și din Constanța, dar și multor alte evenimente organizate de partenerii noștrii în întreaga țară.

#SupportMoldova: Official visit in the Republic of Moldova of Mr Gabriel Brezoiu - General Manager of GEYC

From 17 to 22 October 2017, Mr Gabriel Brezoiu - General Manager of GEYC had an official visit in the Republic of Moldova in the frame of "Support Moldova" Strategic Cooperation Programme (2016-2018) initiated by GEYC with the support of PRISMA European Network.

Seminar: "Young European's digital practices"

From 10th to 13th of February 2014, GEYC took part to "Young European's digital practices" seminar in Rouen, France. The event was organized by CRIJ Haute Normandie with the financial support of "Youth in action" program.

PRISMA: Spreading the results in all the participating countries

In July 2015 we are closing PRISMA European project, a flagship initiative to train and raise awareness about the importance of digital tools and social media into youth work, PRISMA is a Erasmus Plus project co-funded by the European Commission and organized by GEYC. 

Call for 4 Romanian participants: "Youth can do it" Erasmus+ training course, 16-24 November 2015, Petroșani, Romania

GEYC launches a call for 4 Romanian participants to join "Youth can do it" training course is Petroșani, Romania from 16th to 24th of November and to get involved in the dissemination and follow-up activities. This is an Erasmus+ project that provides Youthpass certification. All related costs are covered for selected participants. Deadline to apply: 5th of September 2015.

Comunitatea GEYC se apropie de un maxim istoric. Te mai poți înscrie până pe 2 mai 2017.

Din 2010, GEYC sprijină tinerii să dobândească aptitudinile și cunoștințele necesare prin multiple activități de învățare, cu scopul realizării unor schimbări pozitive în comunitate.
