Peace education in Romania versus the European Union

The 21st century has seen the rise of conflicts, whether armed, psychological or of other nature, which inevitably led to a human rights crisis like never before. Sustainable, lasting peace and security can only be attained when all human rights are fulfilled and building and maintaining a culture of peace is a shared challenge for humankind. Therefore, the subject of peace education has become more and more important in the wider field of education, because it promotes the development of people and society in a peaceful way, based on the principles of harm, tolerance, equality, respect for social justice and social justice.

Our first Fellowship on Human Rights: "Out hate" achievements

In July 2015, Group of European Youth for Change launched the call for the selection of three European Fellows in Human Rights, in the frame of No Hate Speech Movement, for a three phase chain-project (7 days Training Course on Human Rights in Bulgaria - Implementation of activities in Romania – Dissemination of the results in Georgia) that lasted from August until December. 
After a competitive process Ana-Maria Andreea LUPU, Georgiana NUȚU and Cristina Elena PETCU were the ones who stood up as the most passionate, active and knowledgeable in the field of human rights, and thereby, they were selected to become the European Fellows in Human Rights.
The project was implemented together with the organizations Alternativi International from Bulgaria and DRONI, from Georgia in the frame of an Erasmus Plus project.

TURN ONline - KA2 Strategic Partnership on Digitalization of Youth NGOs promoting peace and human rights

TURN ONline is a 20 months KA2 strategic partnership project, organized in the frame of Erasmus+, together with NGOs from Spain, Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, Greece and Hungary. that aims to bring digitalization closer to youth organizations promoting peace and human rights.

Call for 3 Romanian participants: Training course in Istanbul, Turkey, January 2015

GEYC is selecting 3 Romanian participants to take part in the “European Cooperative Youth Network for Human Rights Online” European project that will take place in Istanbul, Turkey from 17th (arrival day) until 25nd (departure day) of January 2015. This is a training course that aims to find solution for combating all forms of hate speech online.

GEYC is selecting 4 Romanian participants to take part in the “Learn, act, grow - developing competencies of youth workers” European project that will take place in Krakow, Poland, from 18th until 25th of March 2015. This training course is set to engage youth leaders, project coordinators, youth workers, teachers, youth consultants who would like to strengthen their key competencies in order to improve the quality of work with youth at risk of social, economic, cultural and educational exclusion.

We are looking for 3 Romanian participants to take part in the Project ‘’Hate Speech Fighters’', a training course for youth workers involving 3 trainers and 30 youth workers from 10 countries in Europe and the Caucasus-Bulgaria ,Spain, Italy The Netherlands, Estonia, Romania, Lithuania, Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan.
