Call for partners: EQYP, Erasmus+ (KA1) project in Romania

GEYC is looking for partners from European/Programme countries for "EQYP - European Quality in Youth Projects" project which will take place in Romania. The application will be submitted under Erasmus+ program, KA1 to the Romanian National Agency for the 1st of October deadline.

The project
EQYP is an intensive training in the field of project management and social media. The participants will experiment how they could improve their projects' quality in the following fields: nonformal learning, projects management, partnerships, PR & Communication (visibility and dissemination of results) and financial planning.



Objectives:
- to improve the quality of European youth projects, especially in Erasmus+ context by focusing on 5 key areas: nonformal learning, projects management, partnerships, PR & Communication (visibility and dissemination of results) and financial planning;
- to enhance digital dimension of youth work through ICT tools;
- to enforce European cooperation in the youth field, especially in Erasmus+ context; 
- to raise awareness regarding European cultural diversity;

Main activities:
- a training course for 20-30 participants (4-6 participants per organisation, 4-6 partner organisations) held between July, 4th and July, 12th 2015 in Bucharest, Romania;

Once known as the "Little Paris", Bucharest is now a vibrant city well known for its night life

- implementing at least one method at organisational level aimed to raise the quality of youth work (July - October 2015). The pedagogical team will support the participants throughout the process;
Participants will be able to improve their youth work methods at organisational level 

- a final seminar to present the results of the methods implemented at organisational level, to share best practices, to work on future projects and to raise awareness on the "European Youth capital" initiative. The event will be held from 4th to 8th November 2015 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania - European Youth Capital in 2015 (1-2 participants from each organisation will join). At the end of the seminar, we willl create EQYP standard - a standard of quality in the European youth work and cooperation.

Target group
Youth workers, project managers, youth leaders (over 18) from European and Programme countries (check out the Program guide for a complete list, page 24). Partner organisation should be ready to take part in all activities mentioned above.
We can accept one Romanian partner organisation only if they are established in Cluj-Napoca (or nearby).

Eligible partner organisations:
- a non-profit organisation, association, NGO;
- a European Youth NGO;
- a social enterprise;
- a public body at local level;
- a group of young people active in youth work but not necessarily in the context of a youth organisation (i.e. informal group of young people).
- a public body at regional or national level;
- an association of regions;
- a European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation;
- a profit-making body active in Corporate Social Responsibility.

Pedagogical team
The pedagogical team will be leaded by Mr. Gabriel Brezoiu
Gabriel BREZOIU - General Manager at GEYC
Gabriel is a Romanian trainer and project manager specialised in the non profit field at national and European levels. He has over 7 years of experience in youth projects focusing on social media, project management and communication. He is a Founding member of GEYC and the initiator and Program Manager of GEYC Resources Center. He has been trained in over 10 European countries on various topics.

The organizer
Group of the European Youth for Change - GEYC is a Romanian NGO whose mission is to empower young people to change their community. GEYC is a member of the Grand Coalition for Digital Jobs (European Commission) and Advisory Council on Youth of the Ministry of Youth and Sport (Romanian Government). 
Our Facebook page aims to be an informative portal for young people providing valuable content in the following fields: news, education, entrepreneurship, responsibility, human rights, Romanian culture and civilization, Culture and intercultural dialogue and entertainment. 
GEYC launched and coordinates GEYC Resources Center, an online center of resources aimed to offer a wide variety of online free tools about multimedia and social media topics aimed to help both individuals and organizations in their work. 
Partnerships: GEYC has a close partnership with the following public institutions: European Commission Representation in Romania, European Parliament Information Office in Romania, Ministry of Youth and Sport (Romanian Government), Bucharest City Hall and 1st District of Bucharest City Hall.
Expertise: GEYC has experience with "Youth in action" / Erasmus+ projects. In 2013 we have been involved in over 20 projects at European level. GEYC is the initiator of European Digital Youth Summit - EDYS, an event under the patronage of the European Parliament.

Financial aspects
GEYC with the financial support of the European Commission through Erasmus+ program will cover the following costs:
- food, accommodation and training activities (100%);
- transport costs will be reimbursed on a lump sum basis (official travel distance calculator):
For travel distances between 100 and 499 KM: 180 EUR/participant
For travel distances between 500 and 1999 KM:275 EUR/participant
For travel distances between 2000 and 2999 KM: 360 EUR/participant

Please note that the participants will need to advance the transport costs.
The participation fee* for the training course in Bucharest is (to be deducted from the transport reimbursement):

There is no participation fee for the seminar in Cluj-Napoca
Participants are responsible for arranging their health insurance during the activities.

Application procedure (deadline: September, 15th, 2014)
Step 1: Download, fill in, print, sign, stamp, scan it (a single pdf file is preferred) the mandate document (click to download) and send it back to office@geyc.ro, Subject: "[EQYP] - Country, Organisation name" (please check the e-mail subject because if it does not respect the indicated format, we will not be able to receive it!)
If the mandate is filled correctly, we will provide you the postal address to submit the original. Please notice that we need to receive the originals by September 20th, 2014 in order to consider your application.

By October 15th, we will inform all selected partners. Incomplete applications can not be selected. 
Please note that due to a limited number of people working on this project, we are unable to:
- answer the questions that have already an answer in this call;
- inform the partners that have not been selected.
