Who are we

GEYC is a Romanian youth organisation active at European and international levels. We empower youth, teachers, and youth workers to collaborate and lead change within a single digital community.

Timeline

2010
Founding

Informal group set up in Bucharest supported by the "Youth in Action" programme (European Commission).
2013
Legal Registration

Registered in Romania. GEYC Community grows with youth, youth workers and teachers.
2015
PrismaEU Launch

A European network to raise youth projects quality through digital youth work.
2023
UN ECOSOC

Awarded Special Consultative Status to connect to the UN work.

Aims

Mission

Empowering young people to create
a positive change in their community

Objective 1 Youth Empowerment
Supporting initiatives to encourage young people to be active in civic participation and defending human rights through education, intercultural learning, and remembrance.
Objective 2 Digital Futures
Promoting social networks and new media technologies for personal and professional development through digital literacy and access to online resources.
Objective 3 Future Readiness
Encouraging social, green, and digital entrepreneurship by providing tools to increase employability and competitiveness in the labour market.
Objective 4 UN SDGs & Environment
Promoting the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with focus on social inclusion, gender equality, and environmental conservation.
