Today we are super happy because we received a letter from Beatrice, our EVS volunteer hosted by Agora Aveiro. We will share it with you.
Travelling in Porto |
Aveiro, or the "Little Venice" |
Hi there!
I am currently in Aveiro, Portugal, halfway through my EVS. I am working in a youth association, promoting active citizenship and organizing events (Agora Aveiro).
I had a lot of activities on my plate so far, I made friends, I faced some of my fears. Talking about fears, I’ll share this one with you: I was afraid that I will have no idea what to do after I finish this EVS. But I went anyway.
And guess what? I still don’t know what to do next. And I’m sure that if I’ve stayed in Romania, I would’ve had the same result. But I think that here I learned something more important than worrying about the future, that is to enjoy my moments. In the end, no matter if you’ll choose to go for an EVS or not, life will happen anyway; so if this thought is crossing your mind, I’d say go! EVS can be one of the most rewarding experience in your life.

.... and ... work, work, work, work, work ... |
P.S.: Just one piece of advice in case you do decide to do an EVS: pay a lot of attention to the association you’re joining.
... and making new friends and visiting them! |
