Call for applicants: European Fellowship in the field of Human Rights - 2nd edition

GEYC is selecting 4 Romanian participants, to take part in "Balkans without hate" Internship. The main aim of this project is to explore how young people and youth work can benefit from creation of genuine youth documentaries on what kind of (multicultural) societies we want to live in. Human rights are rights inherent to all human beings, whatever our nationality, place of residence, sex, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, language, or any other status. We are all equally entitled to our human rights without discrimination. These rights are all interrelated, interdependent and indivisible.

Yes, human rights are believed to be the rights that belong to every person regarding their status. The world is big and it's our responsability as citizens, students, youths and most of all humans to make those rights heard. 

If you are one of those few people that stand out and want to make a change at a local, national and international level, this Fellowship is for you. Also, it will look very good on your C.V. especially if you want to work within European Union institutions.

Experience is not necessary but motivation is mandatory. If your eyes are glowing when we say photography, video editing/production, graphic design and history of the Balkans and Europe, you`ll have a place in our team. Also passionate about travel? This Fellowship includes an Erasmus+ Training Course that will take place in Montenegro between 19-30 August 2016.

Some task may include:

  • taking pictures, editing them and post them on our social media accounts 
  • writing articles 
  • video editing/production (along with the other participants you will be making a documentary with the topic of Conflict in the Balkans) 
  • promoting your results and the activities of the other participants 
  • managing social media coverage 
  • interviews with a specific demographic

In short, you will participate in all the stages of a project and you will be involved in many specific fields where you can develop your creativity and why not, independence as well as collaborative work.
