GEYC is selecting 3 Romanian participants to take part in the "Let’s Play life" European project that will take place in Poznan, Poland, from 11th until 19th of August 2014.

The activity will take place between August 11th and 19th 2014 in Poznań and will bring together a group of 26 participants.The main theme of the Training Course is to contribute to development of youth policies in the European Union and promotion of innovative educational methods and non-formal education, in this case - LARP (live action role-play games). During the TC, participants will gain new knowledge and skills connected to games and LARPs as a great and one-of-a-kind working method and educational tool, which can be extremely useful when working with young people. The TC will be entirely based on the concept and methods of non-formal education and will allow participants, with help and support of the trainers, to develop their own educational games, which can be later on used in their own work and among members of their local communities. As a result of the TC, we expect to equip the participants in new skills and know-how, which will be extremely useful in their every day work of sharing culture of peace, mutual understanding and respect: this time, not in a game, but in real life.

Timeline
- until 20th of June - submitting the application form to maria.albulescu@geyc.ro;
- until 27th of June - selection of participants, notification and confirmation (paying the participation fee - please notice that the participation fee is non-reimbursable);
- after 27th of June: organizers will arrange the travel details (please be ready to cover your travel costs: at the moment of the call, the cheaper return flight costs 230 EUR, however we expect a price increase of 20-30 EUR by the moment of purchase, feel free to check paravion.ro for the current price level). GEYC will support you throughout the booking process and the reimbursement procedure;
- August, 11th-19th: the training course takes place: enjoy Polish culture, intercultural exchange and enhance your knowledge about non-formal education; ensure visibility of your participation by sending us at least one photo for publishing;
- August,19th and after: ensure dissemination of project results.

Selection criteria
· Personal and professional motivation;
· Gender balance; · Age: 18-30; · Fluent English level; · GEYC active volunteers and GEYC Community applicants will have priority to participate;

Financial details:
The organizers will cover the following costs with the support of the
European Commission :

100% of meals, accommodation, activities costs;
·
A trasport costs subvention of up to 275 EUR for transport costs (after all relevant documents are provided) to the Polish organisers;
Participants will be
required to cover:
·
a participation fee covering administrative costs for this
project (the fee will be paid in RON, by bank transfer at the exchange
rate given by the Romanian National Bank (BNR) for the day of payment;
the fee will be paid after the participants are selected. Please don't pay
any fee before you receive the confirmation e-mail): 50 EUR for GEYC
Community (please note that for this call we will consider the members that
joined the Community before June 5th, 2014) applicants and 80 EUR for other
applicants (GEYC active volunteers will have the
participation fee covered by GEYC);
