About the project:
The project “Move and sing” is a Youth Exchange founded on the theme of artistic pratice as a stepping stone to social inclusion of youth and community cohesion. It aims in providing to young people the competences in the field of singing and artistic expression. It aims also to promote intercultural understanding between young Europeans, to sensitize them to European citizenship’s issues and sustainable development through various activities based on formal and non-formal education methods. This project follows a Grundtvig workshop that organized in 2012 based on the same theme: it was destined for an adult audience. After the success of the workshop, we decided to repeat this experience, adapting it to the young audience and to the criteria, principles Erasmus program’s objectives.
The Youth Exchange has six objectives:
1. Acquire or enhance partecipants’ knowledge in music and singing field;
2. Discover traditions and cultures of the countries involved in the project through traditional music;
3. Strengthening the sense of belonging to an European community together in its diversity;
4. Improve partecipants’ foreign languages skills, especially French and English;
5. Develop interest on using informal methods to promote projects and artistic activities;
6. Educate youth on sustainable development and an healthy lifstyle.

Methodologies: working groups, workshops, role games, reflection groups, discussions.
Activities will be through workshops and using non-formal and informal learning methods such as:
- Working in groups and observing reflections;
- Debates and discussions;
- Workshops realized by artistic creations (singing worshops)
- Cultural programs (European Parliament, Strasbourg, hiking in nature);
- Role play, presenting plays and other team building activities;
- Intercultural evenings for promoting group cohesion.

-personal and professional motivation (interested in music)
-gender balance
-between 16-30 years old
-english language, french is a plus
-GEYC volunteers and GEYC Community applicants will have priority to participate

by 8 September 2015: selection of participants, notifications and confirmations (paying the participation fee - please notice that the participation fee is non-reimbursable)
Note: if you won't receive an e-mail by 8 September, it means that we found other suitable candidates for this project.
Financial details:
The organizers will cover the following costs with the support of the European Commission:
- 100% of meals, accommodation, activities costs;
- Transport cost up to 170 EUR per participant.
- a participation fee covering administrative costs for this project (the fee will be paid in RON, by bank transfer; the fee will be paid after the participants are selected). Please don't pay any fee before you receive the confirmation e-mail): 135 RON (30 EURO) for GEYC Community (please note that for this call we will consider the members that joined the Community before 19 August 2015) applicants and 225 RON (50 EUR) for other applicants (GEYC active volunteers are not required to pay the participation fee); The fee is calculated at a fixed exchage rate (EUR=4.5 RON)
- (if needed) transport cost - only the amount exceeding 170 EUR;
- (if needed) medical insurance;
- (if needed) any other personal costs.
Relevant information
- In order to start their travel, Romanian participants should own a valid ID card or passport.
- Arrangements regarding medical insurance are the responsibility of the participants.
- In order to be reimbursed, Romanian participants should start their travel from Romania.
- Please make sure you have read and accepted the terms and conditions of GEYC European mobility programs before you apply
- Accomodation will be at MJC La Vancelle (for more photos, please check FB here)
- Wi-fi is not avalaible in the hostel but there is bar « next door » where you can check your emails.
- The refund for the travel will be made by bank transfer to GEYC Association, when the original tickets and boarding passes (for the way back home) will arrive to the organisers in France (by post or by e-mail). GEYC will also transfer to all the participants.
- You must bring your own towel.
- You don’t need to bring bed linens but if you are often cold when you sleep it is good to bring an extra blanket.
- Sport shoes and comfortable clothes
- 5 songs from your country
- You should bring your European Health Card
- The timetable will be given at a later stage
- Minors should have a parental consent.
