On Friday, June 4th, 2021, the GEYC team was present in Câmpina, where we organized several activities under the framework of the DIVERSE project.
The day started with the European Mobility Cafe, a format which allowed us to bring the European opportunities closer to the students and teachers from Liceul Tehnologic Energetic Câmpina, together with our two trainees, Jade Andrzejewski and Filippo Zattin, who joined remotely from France and Italy in order to share their experience.
During the Mobility Cafe we presented, among other opportunities, the DIVERSE project and its aim of improving the management of cultural diversity in a classroom setting.
Some of the students and teachers spoke more about their view on diversity in a couple of short video interventions, which we invite you to see on our DIVERSE Facebook page. We leave here the intervention of our liaison teacher, Georgiana Moldoveanu.
In the second part of the day, given the signing of the protocol last month between GEYC and Campina City Hall, which aims, among other things, to create a local youth strategy, we organized a first dialogue session with young people up to 25 years old.
The first part of the session had materialized into three thematic focus groups, each with 8-10 young people from Câmpina City, where we tackled three directions: social (mentioning diversity and explaining how DIVERSE Project could help in managing it in the schools), green and digital.
The second part of the session took all the focus groups findings and presented them, in a Facebook live session, to the mayor of the city, Mr. Alin Ioan Moldoveanu, who, together with GEYC, is planning to set up a local youth strategy.
