UN Climate Change Conference of Youth (COY16) Global Affairs Unit (GAU)

COY or Conference of Youth is a key event organized by youth and youth organizations globally in cooperation with YOUNGO, the official children and youth constituency to UN Climate Change processes. It's a global network of more than 200 youth-led NGOs working in the field of climate change and environmental sustainability. It aims to bring together the global youth to compile national and regional inputs into positions of global youth to be fed into the climate negotiations. COY serves as a preparation session of youth NGOs to develop position papers, and hold strategic discussions on climate change solutions. For the 2021 edition, COY is officially supported by the United Nations Secretary-General Envoy on Youth.

Our Head of Sustainability, Raluca Dumitrescu, will join the UN Climate Change Conference of Youth (COY16) Global Affairs Unit (GAU) as a Country Coordinator for Romania.

Raluca will plan, coordinate and support outreach and engagement in Romania. She will be responsible to ensure the COY16 message is being spread nationally.

"The next 10 years will be crucial in raising ambitious global efforts to deliver the goals by 2030 and act on climate. Climate change is now affecting every country on every continent, and that is why we need the support of every young climate leader in the world."
