International Youth Day 2024 - this is how we celebrated ✨

Since the beginning of GEYC, the International Day has always been marked through relevant activities, challenges and competitions. Since June 2023, GEYC received its consultative status with the United Nations (ECOSOC), and thus it is even more relevant to mark the day. This is how we celebrated between the 12th and the 19th of August 2024!

Board Meeting & Erasmus+ KA151 evaluation in Campina

We kicked off the week through a community picnic in Campina

As part of the 4 year cooperation with the Municipality of Campina - Campina Europeana we have organised a picnic where our ESC volunteers, team members, Board members and local community from Campina took part. It is a common objective of the Erasmus+ Youth Accreditation (KA151) and ESC Quality label to consolidate the local communities where we are active and to create meaningful context where young people could meet, discuss and explore opportunities to get involved.


For the second year in a row we are hosting European volunteers in Campina aimed at organising "Campina YouthART Fest". The second edition will take place from 20th to 22nd of September 2024, aims at inspiring and involving the entire community and after having a sneak peak on the activities crafted by the volunteers we can say it would be simply amazing! During the International Youth Day celebrations, the volunteers organised visits to the local organisations and communities in order to get a better context. We marked the moment with our partners from the PRISMA European Network

We prepared a series of interactive reels with the participants from EDYS2024: Daniela Eneh, Alexandru Crăciun, Elena Miron, Tudor Andronic. You can check out here the coverage of the event.

We have been to Campulung Film Fest 🎥

We joined forces with "Hope4Hummanity" and we joined Campulung Film Fest. Our ESC volunteers had the chance to record interviews for the Activism collectors campaign and to spread awareness about sustainability. Meanwhile, they blended perfectly with the H4H volunteers and explored a bit what Bukovina region has to offer through its natural and cultural heritage promoted by the Bucovimea project.
The campaign is part of the efforts to ensure visibility and expand the target group of the Erasmus+ project 2023-1-RO01-KA151-YOU-000138290 in the context of the International Youth Day.
