The European youth of today lack involvement in e-citizenship and e-participation. Inspired by the recent experiences of young people who shared ideas online and then organised events in real life, this workshop will show how participants can use digital tools to raise public awareness and support their cause.
The workshop is organized by Promoters for European Democracy, a group set up by European Parliament Information Office in Romania and GEYC - a member of PRISMA European Network (http://www.prisma-network.eu/ ). The workshop will be delivered on 21st of May 2016, 16:30 – 18:00 (GMT+2) at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, during the European Youth Event.
To engage more young people that can benefit of this workshop, we are making it available to a wider public through this online event. What does this mean? During “Digital democracy: From e-participation to real influence” we will be posting updates on this event page and you can participate and interact with the speakers and the other participants by asking questions and posting comments. You will receive answers to your questions live during the conference.
The active participants at the E-Workshop will receive a Certificate issued on behalf of PRISMA European Network. Moreover, the most active participants will receive a Promo Pack offered by European Parliament Information Office in Romania which includes branded products: T-Shirt, USB, notebook, bookmark and pen.
