How are EU policies actually made, and where can young people have a say?
This publication offers a practical and adaptable educational methodology for exploring the EU policy-making process with young people. Designed for youth workers, educators, trainers and civil society organisations, it translates complex institutional processes into accessible, participatory learning experiences.
Built around non-formal education and experiential learning, the publication includes interactive activities, policy case studies, visual mapping, participation exercises, policy simulations, co-creation methods and evaluation tools. Its modular approach allows activities to be adapted to different groups, learning environments, national contexts and timeframes.
The methodology was developed in the framework of the EU-MATTER project, as a resource for strengthening youth participation, civic engagement and democratic competence across Europe.
