Publication - STEAM policy briefs and recommendations from the SENSE. project

GEYC is proud to spotlight the SENSE collection of policy briefs and recommendations, a practical resource for anyone shaping education policy and practice in Europe. SENSE advances a fresh, human centered approach to STEAM, connecting learning with real life challenges and opportunities. The project’s policy outputs translate that vision into concrete actions for ministries, agencies, school leaders, NGOs, and community partners.

What you will find

SENSE has curated a full series of policy briefs and recommendations that synthesize lessons from pilots and labs, then turn them into ready to use ideas for systems change. The series includes four briefs, each focused on high impact areas for STEAM. The collection aligns with SENSE. priority themes that matter right now in schools and communities, including Open schooling and inclusion. This makes the recommendations relevant for curriculum, teacher development, and partnerships with local actors.

SENSE frames STEAM as future making education that is accessible to all learners and responsive to societal needs. The policy series builds on that frame to help decision makers and school leaders act with confidence, from strengthening inclusion and gender sensitivity to connecting learning with green and digital transitions.

If your activity involves equality and participation, note that SENSE. places strong emphasis on intersectionality and gender responsive design. That perspective flows through the project’s recommendations and is highly relevant for national and local policy conversations.
