Who are the STSL Ambassadors and what will they do?
These inspiring young ambassadors are part of the European Fellowship on Sustainable Development, a long-term program organized by GEYC, dedicated to empowering youth to take action toward the Sustainable Development Goals. This year, the fellowship is organised under the umbrella of the Erasmus+ KA154 project “Sete de Soluții / Thirsty for Solutions”
- Take part in sustainability-focused activities
- Support the STSL campaign’s advocacy for accessible drinking water in public spaces
- Turn bold ideas into action and organise events, educational initiatives and community involvement
- Inspire and mobilize other young people to care about water justice and climate resilience
What exactly is the fellowship?
The program is structured around five key phases:
1. Kick-off & Training
Ambassadors met virtually to get to know each other and receive orientation on sustainability topics, campaign goals and tools for local action.
2. Inspiration through International Mobilities
Each ambassador will participate in at least one international mobility, learning from sustainable projects in other countries. After each experience, they’ll share insights through blog articles, workshops or social media and will further multiply in organised events.
3. Get involved locally
Ambassadors will contribute to one or more of the following events:
- International Youth Day (12 August) – themed “Youth Empowerment for a Sustainable Future”
- Danube Caravan (13–17 October) – bringing sustainability awareness to regional youth
- Volunteer Day Campaign (5 December) – organized by the ambassadors themselves
4. Share what they learned
Whether it’s through reels, school workshops, articles, or event coordination, each ambassador takes on the role of a knowledge multiplier in their community.
5. Certification & Follow-up
Upon completing all phases, each ambassador receives an official certificate of completion, recognizing their contributions under the STSL framework. Those who show exceptional involvement will be invited to: The GEYC Bootcamp for Young Multipliers (March 2026, Bran) and a Study Visit to Brussels (September 2026). These ambassadors will be a centrl pillar for the next generation of STSL Ambassadors.
