Call for European partners: ECO ECHO youth exchange in Bucharest, Romania

GEYC is launching a call for European partners for ECO ECHO, a "Youth in action" youth exchange (1.1) which will be held from 7th to 14th of May 2014 in Bucharest, Romania.

Are you concerned about environmental issues in your local community? Do you believe we need to have an alternative way of living based on respecting the nature and consuming less? Would you like to determine young people more involved in environmental issues? Then we've got something for you:


ECO ECHO

Objectives:
1. Informing young people about alternative transportation means and recycling;
2. Stimulating active European citizenship among young people, in the environmental field; 
3. Raising awareness among national and European policy makers in the field of environment;
4. Informing young people about the environmental circumstances in their respective countries and at a European level;

Eligible partners:
- non profit organisations / public institutions located in European Union, Turkey or EFTA countries except Romania (which has the role of organizer) - please note that organisations from other countries are not eligible for this action and we are unable to make any exception;
- each partner will send a group of 4-6 young people (18-25 years old) + 1 group leader (no age limit);
- each group will be gender balanced (equal number of boys and girls);
- a priority will be given to organisations working with young people with fewer opportunities (please fill in the inclusion checklist for one or more of your participants and send it together with the application form);
- partner organisations need to be interested in the topic of environment;

Financial details:
The organizers will cover the following costs with the support of the European Commission:
- 100% of meals, accommodation, training activities, training materials;
- 70% of transport costs (as a reimbursement after all justifying documents are provided);
- 100% of visa costs (if needed);
- for the advanced planning visit, all the expenses will be covered (100%);

Application:
Interested organisations need to apply before 24th of September 2013 by sending a single e-mail to office@geyc.ro with the following format:
- Subject: [ECO ECHO] - Country - Name of your organisation (please respect this format to prevent your application ending up in the Spam folder);
- Attachments: please download and fill in the application form and the inclusion checklist (for one or more of your participants);
Please note that if you are selected to be a partner of this project, from 28th until 30th of September you need to be able to receive, print, sign, stamp and send back to us a scanned copy of the partnership agreement. Please don’t apply if you are not able to proceed so!
