Call for participants: Develop your training and reporting skills on human rights - Study session in Strasbourg

GEYC and PRISMA European Network are strongly encouraging you to apply for the Study Session: How to Train People on Human Rights Reporting organized by European Youth Press and the Youth Department of the Council of Europe at European Youth Centre in Strasbourg, France, from 1st to 7th November 2015. Deadline: August 18, 2015.


What?
A five days study session on how to train others to report on human rights issues and media. After returning home, the participants are expected to deliver a local workshop linked to human rights education.

When, where?
1st - 7th of November 2015 (including arrival and departure days)
European Youth Centre in Strasbourg, France

Who?
Young media makers (journalists or activists), aged 18-30 residents in a Council of Europe country (some exceptions are possible regarding age and residence) with basic experience in the training field (at least 20 hours of training delivered). 

How much?
Meals, accommodation and training activities will be provided by the organizers at the European Youth Centre in Strasbourg. All costs related to travelling (cheapest and most direct alternative) to Strasbourg will be reimbursed by the Council of Europe either in cash, during the training, or by bank transfer after the project (upon request). The engagement fee for joining this study session is 50 euros and will be withdrawn from the reimbursement calculations (does not have to be paid in advance).
