💡 About the Project

The project will take place between 19 and 26 October 2026 in Finland, at Ankkapurha Youth Centre, targeting youths aged 16-21, from EU Member States and associated countries. This initiative aims to explore the topics of preparedness and sustainability, as well as the relationship between young people and the natural world through outdoor and experiential education. The project uses non-formal education methods such as outdoor challenges, nature-based learning, environmental workshops, team activities, and reflection sessions.

✨ Highlight: This project is hosted by ANKKAPURHAN KULTTUURISÄÄTIÖ and supported by the Erasmus+ Programme.

🎯 Objectives

  • Increase practical preparedness skills by acquiring basic outdoor “survival” competences, including first aid, safe hiking, orientation, teamwork in outdoor settings, and risk awareness in nature-based activities.
  • Develop awareness and knowledge of sustainability and natural resource management by exploring the importance of ecosystems, biodiversity, and responsible use of the Planet’s resources.
  • Build eco-conscious behaviours and sustainable lifestyles by strengthening the connection with nature, reflecting on consumption patterns, environmental impact, and everyday actions that support sustainability.
  • Develop digital storytelling competences by learning how to design and produce engaging social media content that effectively communicates sustainability topics, natural resource awareness, and their learning journey.
  • Enhance social and teamwork skills through cooperative outdoor challenges, environmental activities, and intercultural collaboration focused on sustainability and preparedness themes.
