💡 About the Project

The NeuroDem project (""Empowering Neurodivergent Youth to act as Changemakers for Inclusive Democratic Advocacy and Innovation"") supports active citizenship for neurodivergent (ND) youth at risk of social exclusion, focusing on those with Autism (ASD) and ADHD. It aims to ENGAGE, CONNECT, and EMPOWER ND youth as changemakers through inclusive democratic and advocacy initiatives. The aim of the Bootcamp is to train and support youth workers in applying neuroinclusive methods and tools that empower autistic and ADHD youth to participate meaningfully in democratic and advocacy processes.

✨ Highlight: This project is hosted by A-CENTRUM and supported by the Erasmus+ Programme.

🎯 Objectives

  • To build youth workers’ understanding of neurodiversity, including the specific needs, strengths, and communication styles of autistic and ADHD youth.
  • To develop practical skills for inclusive communication and facilitation, enabling youth workers to create predictable, accessible, ND-friendly learning environments.
  • To test and refine the NeuroDem Train-the-Trainer Programme, ensuring that the training content, tools, and methods are usable, relevant, and effectively support ND youth.
  • To enhance youth workers’ capacity to support ND youth’s engagement in democratic participation and advocacy, using structured, experiential, and supportive methodologies.
  • To foster international exchange and knowledge-sharing between practitioners working with ND youth across Europe.
