
Between 8–14 August 2025, GEYC marked International Youth Day with a week-long campaign under #GEYC4YOUth, bringing together inspiring stories, creative content, and events dedicated to empowering young people. Here’s a look back at what happened:
Open Vibes Picnic – 2 August
An informal offline gathering in Parcul Izvor, where fellows and community members came together for games, relaxed talks, and a safe space for youth expression under the No Hate Speech message.
Launching the Youth Day Campaign with a teaser post – 8 August
We kicked off the campaign with a teaser post announcing the upcoming celebration of International Youth Day and setting the tone for the week ahead.

Represent the GEYC Community
We announced a new opportunity on our website: Represent the Community, where active members can represent GEYC at national and European events.

On International Youth Day itself, GEYC’s Board of Directors shared inspirational messages to motivate young people to believe in their power to create change.
#EDCE25 Week Official Campaign Launch – 12 August
We launched the official website for European Digital Citizenship Education Week 2025, announcing its theme and dates (15–21 September).
Climate Youth Dialogue – 12 August
Our STSL fellows joined the Climate Youth Dialogue in Bucharest, connecting the GEYC community to global climate action initiatives.
Crossroads Workshop – 13 August
At GEYC Office, young people gathered for a workshop on global challenges and possible solutions, exchanging perspectives in an interactive format.
Digital Output – 14 August
We wrapped up the campaign with a final digital output summarizing the publication Digital transformation in research: Guidelines for data collection & interpretation in the online environment.
