GEYC Community - a good practice example of digital youth work (ESPON Seminar)

Bucharest, 30th of October 2019: The ESPON Seminar on “Shaping the “Next Economy”: The Territorial Dimension of the Future of Work in Southern Europe” will examine the territorial dimension of labour markets in Southern Europe, setting forth the need to adopt a place-sensitive approach while broadening the governance perspective for designing effective policies. Our colleague, Gabriel Brezoiu, will join as an invited expert during the second part of the seminar "Part II: Tackling Youth Unemployment: Is Enough Being Done?" presenting the example of GEYC Community as a digital youth work good practice.

Job Agent 007 - Bojnice, Slovakia

At SIEDAS` invitation, alongside with special agents from Slovakia, Lithuania, Croatia, Italy, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Poland, Portugal, Estonia, Macedonia, Turkey and Hungary, the Romanian delegation shared their country`s realities and acknowledged the others, focusing on youth unemployment and Erasmus +.

Call for 4 Romanian participants: "Youth can do it" Erasmus+ training course, 16-24 November 2015, Petroșani, Romania

GEYC launches a call for 4 Romanian participants to join "Youth can do it" training course is Petroșani, Romania from 16th to 24th of November and to get involved in the dissemination and follow-up activities. This is an Erasmus+ project that provides Youthpass certification. All related costs are covered for selected participants. Deadline to apply: 5th of September 2015.

GEYC is selecting 4 Romanian participants to take part in the “Job Up” European project that will take place in Geraci Siculo (Sicily, Italy), from 8th until 13th of June 2015. This training course aims to boost participants employability and to prepare them to react towards unemployment.

Happening in Romania: More than 200 teachers take a volunteer engagement to promote digital competencies as a way to tackle youth unemployment

As part of SMYLE European project, GEYC has invited Romanian teachers to set up seminars and campaigns at local level in order to raise awareness among young people (13-30) and other stakeholders regarding the critical importance of digital skills to smooth the path to the labour market.
