The mobilities of the KA2 project "International Youth Studies" - That's a wrap!

InYouS project, which started in April 2018, aims to ameliorate the recognition of youth work and non-formal education through development of certified “International youth studies” curricula (and organizing a distance-learning course for youth workers) and open educational materials for European Higher Education Institutions.

It seems like yesterday we were in Yerevan, Armenia, attending the opening conference of the project, and now we are wrapping up the mobility projects included in this complex partnership. Together with our partners from Portugal, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Turkey, Belgium, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, Romania, Belarus, Sweden and oordinated by the Federation of Youth Clubs of Armenia, we are now one step closer to achieving our objectives:

  • Stimulating and strengthening integration of non-formal education and formal education at universities through establishment of certified course on International youth studies.
  • Creating bridges between formal and non-formal education, youth policy and practice in order to release innovation potential to raise the quality of educational and social service to Europe’s young people, to promote career flexibility and mobility, and to assert the value and utility of evidence-based policy and practice;
  • Strengthening human potential in youth field by building a critical mass of quality youth workers;
  • Promoting international recognition of the youth work and non-formal education through developing and adopting award criteria that are in line with formal educational system;

Thanks to the mobility projects in which dozens of young people have gotten involved, we now know more about:

  • The Youth Work Studies course or degrees provided by Universities in each country and what future Youth Work has in each local reality;
  • How a person can become a Youth Worker in each country;
  • How Education of Youth Workers leads to the Professional Recognition of Youth Work;
  • How to develop online campaigns in order to promote the InYouS online course.

During the following months, we will be working on the Open Educational Materials and the Online Course, so stay tuned to see the results!
