GEYC: The launch of the European Fellowship on Project Management

European Fellowship on Project Management is a complex programme initiated by GEYC under the framework of EuroIMPACT Plus KA2 Strategic Partnership, aiming to develop the project management skills of young people.



About the fellowship:


Duration: 5 months (1st of August - 31st of December 2018)

Objectives: 
  • Empower young people with the skills needed to manage a project;
  • Develop competences to design, plan, implement & evaluate a project;
  • Increase digital communication skills of young people;
  • Develop the leadership skills needed in order to manage a project;
  • Exchange best practices between young people in the field of project management.
The following activities will be included in the programme:

  1. E-learning stage (August 2018 - Project management essentials and Project management in the Erasmus + programme);
  2. A Training Course in Bansko, Bulgaria, [EU-189] EuroIMPACT Plus: Training on Project Management, 12.09.2018-18.09.2018. The objectives of the training are: To empower youth workers and volunteers to fully exploit all the potentials of project management methodology in youth projects, to give the possibility to partners and other stakeholders to count on volunteers/youth workers able to manage efficiently a project, to establish an innovative project management methodology suited to the specific needs of organizations working for youth, to compose a set of learning materials as open educational resources (OER), to strengthen formal and non-formal learning for young people across Europe, to provide tools and methods on how to measure and raise the IMPACT of projects.
  3. Volunteering as part of the organizing team of European Digital Youth Summit - EDYS2018, Brasov, 12-14 December 2018 (12-13 December - preparation days). Started in 2014, EDYS aims to become a reference event at European level in the field of digital behaviour of young people, held under the high patronage of the European Parliament.
  4. Possibility of participation in one mobility project (one per participant) for which they are eligible during these 5 months, without having to cover a cofunding.

Target group:

Young people with basic experience in project management or who have the desire to work in the specified field in the future.

Must have:

  • Personal and professional motivation regarding the topic of the programme;
  • English language - intermediate level;
  • Minimum 18 years old;

Nice to have
  • To be a youth worker;
  • Member of a students’ association who has managed projects before.

This is a public call. The selection process will be based on the first come, first served principle, based on the relevance of the application.
